Pictures of Barbados
I spent about a week in Barbados with my friend Grae who I met in Canada but who grew up on the island and now lives and works there again (and pretty much knows everyone on Barbados, it seemed). For me, this was great because I got to see how people live there as opposed to experiencing Barbados from a standard tourist point of view.
I had planned to visit some more islands in the area as I had never been to the Carribbean before. However, I ended up not going because I felt that all these places, although they are nice, they are made for freshly married couples on their honeymoon rather than for backpackers on their own. So the following pictures are only from Barbados, mostly taken during a trip across the island with Grae:

Barbados is known for its fantastic beaches
Me hanging out at the beach
Most beaches are not too crowded
People sure know how to party in Barbados

Nature looks great inland as well
Some dark clouds coming
An abandoned house
Rocks and waves
Reef at the Northern tip
Rocks and stones
Old windmill
A lot of BBQ'ing on the beach
