The Garden Route: Robberg Peninsula (Plettenberg Bay)

The Robberg Peninsula is a nature reserve close to Plettenberg Bay
which is best explored on one day (it's an 11km hike). Beautiful
views, a challenging trail, and an ever-changing landscape.

And seals. Lots of them in some spots.

This sand bank called "The Gap" goes all the way down to
the sea. Too bad we didn't have our sandboards handy.

The sign says something like "Danger! Sliding sand beyond this point."

The so-called "Freak Waves."

After about two hours, we arrived at the tip of the peninsula ("The
Point"). Red rocks, big waves, and seals.

On the other side of the peninsula, we sometimes had to go rock climbing.
It was rewarding. Some of the formations looked kind of unreal.

After about 5 hours, we hit a deserted beach and hung out until we noticed
that we only had about 30 minutes left to leave the nature reserve.
